DIR Enterprise Information Systems (EIS)
The Directorate of Enterprise Information Systems (DIR-EIS) manages the development, acquisition, fielding, new equipment training, and sustainment of EIS and MISO systems. The portfolio includes three primary capability areas - Enterprise Systems, Transport Systems, and SOF Information Technology Integration Services. DIR-EIS integrates new and emerging technologies as part of its System of Systems life-cycle refresh and aligns resources to deliver enterprise-level IT capabilities that enable end-to-end collaboration, messaging, and content management across the SOF Information Enterprise. EIS develops, implements, and manages commercial IT contracts that provide enterprise wide, net-centric hardware, software, and IT Support services for USSOCOM. The focus is to enable a culture of connectivity, providing access to required resources from anywhere on the globe, and ensuring interoperability with all military, interagency, and international partners.
PEO Fixed Wing
Program Executive Office for Fixed Wing (PEO-FW), relentlessly develops and delivers Special Operations (SO)-peculiar manned and unmanned fixed-wing solutions to effectively enable airpower capabilities for Special Operations Forces (SOF). PEO-FW collaborates with SOF end-users, Research & Development activities, Academia, and Industry Partners to synchronize acquisition efforts resulting in the development, testing, procurement, and fielding of an array of capabilities. These acquisition efforts include advanced technology sensors, weapon systems, defensive countermeasures, advanced avionics, and mission-training systems. USSOCOM’s manned and unmanned fixed-wing aircraft provide the backbone for SOF airborne capabilities such as aerial refueling support, airborne precision engagement, and aerial intelligence, surveillance, & reconnaissance (ISR). They provide SOF with the global ability to infiltrate, exfiltrate, and resupply in hostile denied environments leveraging air assets such as the MC-130J Talon III and CV-22 Osprey. PEO-FW portfolio also includes the AC-130J Ghostrider, and the upcoming OA-1K Skyraider II providing critical precision engagement and close-air support using both service-common weapons and SO-peculiar Stand-off Precision Guided Munitions to engage a variety of targets. The final component of the PEO-FW portfolio is the Airborne ISR systems, which includes the U-28A aircraft, JAVAMAN, MC-12 Liberty, MQ-1C, and MQ-9. These manned and unmanned systems deliver real-time Global ISR support to Combatant Commanders. The high operational tempo of these aircraft requires innovative means to incorporate capability and sustainment improvements while ensuring necessary aircraft availability.
PEO Maritime
PEO-M’s mission is to provide game-changing capability to hyper-enable Naval Special Warfare operators through
the development and fielding of advanced surface and undersea platforms and equipment in order to maintain and
expand the competitive advantage in the maritime domain. The portfolio provides both surface and undersea maritime
mobility platforms in various stages of development, production, and sustainment as well as cutting edge SOF Combat
Diving equipment. The surface fleet consists of the Combatant Craft Heavy, Combatant Craft Medium, Combatant Craft
Assault, Special Operations Craft – Riverine, and Small Unmanned Surface Vehicles. The undersea fleet consists of
the Dry Deck Shelter, Dry Combat Submersible, SEAL Delivery Vehicle, SOF Combat Diving, and Small Unmanned
Underwater Vehicles.
PEO Rotary Wing
PEO-RW provides with the most advanced rotary wing aircraft comprised of the A/MH-6, MH-60,
MH-47 aircraft, mission equipment packages providing communications, navigation and aircraft protection, and
training systems from combat flight simulators, linked multi-unit mission simulations, and deskside training
aides. To accomplish this critical mission, PEO-RW focuses on readiness, advanced technologies, and life-cycle
logistics to ensure the 160th SOAR (A) maintains a competitive advantage against all potential threats. Along
with the Technology Applications Program Office and Product Manager SOF Training Systems, PEO-RW utilizes a
three-part acquisition strategy of technology recapitalization, lethality and survivability upgrades, and planning
for the future of SOF vertical lift. PEO RW collaborates with the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL)
Program Offices in the development of a SOF unique Future Long Range Air Assault (FLRAA) and Future Attack and
Reconnaissance aircraft for the future fight. Night Stalkers Don’t Quit!
PEO SOF Support Activity
The PEO-SOFSA, based out of Bluegrass Station in Lexington, Kentucky, is responsible for executing USSOCOM's largest service
contract vehicle, which provides a wide range of tailored contractor logistics support services to SOF AT&L
PEOs and PMs, Special Operations Forces (SOF) Service Components, and Theater Special Operations Commands
(TSOCs) worldwide. The PEO-SOFSA mission is to support the SOF community through the execution of contracting,
financial management, and operations oversight to ensure dedicated, responsive, and cost-effective contractor
logistics support services. To meet this mission, PEO-SOFSA partners with both the Warfighter and the SOFSA
prime contractor to ensure best value logistics services and products are being provided to meet the mission-critical,
time-sensitive needs of the SOF community. PEO SOFSA’s Program Management Office for Expeditionary Support
(PM-ES) delivers logistics support, training, and future logistics capability development for SOF.
Current programs include Joint Operational Stocks (JOS) and Foreign / Nonstandard Weapons Material Munitions (F/NWMMP).
PEO SOF Digital Applications
The Program Executive Office for Special Operations Forces Digital Applications (PEO SDA) was officially activated on 1 June 2020. PEO was created to transform USSOCOM’s way of acquiring and delivering software-intensive digital applications and data capabilities in alignment with the National Security Strategy and Command Planning Guidance. PEO SDA is headquartered in Tampa, FL with satellite program offices in various CONUS locations.
PEO Services
PEO Services administers processes ensuring the cost-effective acquisition of Manpower Augmentation and Professional Services that efficiently ensure Stability, Agility, and Reach in support of the diverse requirements of the USSOCOM Enterprise. PEO Services does this by leveraging contract vehicles throughout the Department of Defense and Federal Government, as well as SOF specific contracts to provide the best support to the mission.
PEO Tactical Information Systems
The Program Executive Office for Tactical Information Systems (PEO-TIS) is responsible for the acquisition, fielding, and sustainment of intelligence and tactical communication systems for Special Operations Forces (SOF). The systems contribute directly to USSOCOM priorities to deter, disrupt, and defeat terrorist threats and sustain and modernize the force for the special reconnaissance mission. The current and projected threats to our national security continue to evolve in response to the increased technological sophistication and effectiveness of our fielded capabilities. PEO-TIS acquisition strategies have evolved as well - relying primarily on innovative contracting approaches, robust systems engineering processes, evolutionary technology insertions, and a prudent balance of cost, schedule, and performance priorities. PEO-TIS's broadly scoped system acquisition responsibilities include technical collection, intelligence support, identity operations, tactical communications, and tactical networks.
