The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.
Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC)
Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC) is a sub-unified command of U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and serves as the functional component for all special operations missions deployed throughout the Indo-Pacific region. The Command coordinates, plans, and directs all special operations in the Pacific theater supporting U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM). The SOCPAC area of responsibility is the priority theater for the Department of Defense covering 51% of the globe, and 60% of the world’s population.
