The NAVSCIATTS Distinguished Alumni program was established in 2013 in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of NAVSCIATTS. The award is part of an overarching effort to engage senior-level officers and maintain relationships with alumni.
The award is designed to honor alumni who have typified the NAVSCIATTS tradition of excellence and brought credit to NAVSCIATTS and our partner nations’ armed forces by their distinctive personal accomplishments and extraordinary professional achievements at national and international levels.
This is NAVSCIATTS highest and most prestigious award. All distinguished alumni are selected by a committee of staff members, both military and civilians, who choose and vote from a pool of candidates. Nominees must have attended NAVSCIATTS for any class and at any time since the training center opened in 1963.
All awardees will have their photograph and a short biography displayed in the NAVSCIATTS Hall of Fame, where their significant accomplishments can be admired by staff, official visitors and, more importantly, by all students who hail from all continents.
As the only Department of Navy Security Cooperation schoolhouse operating under USSOCOM, NAVSCIATTS offers the opportunity to foster and maintain relationships with foreign security forces from both special operations and general purpose forces through training and key-leader engagement, ensuring strong bilateral relationships between the U.S. and its partner nations.
