2021 Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC) 17-21 May 2021
U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) is proud to co-sponsor SOFIC with the National Defense Industry Association virtually from Tampa, Florida. SOFIC is USSOCOM’s cornerstone event that enables the Special Operations Forces enterprise to strengthen existing partnerships and forge new ones.
During this year’s conference, we will highlight our capability requirements. We will also provide information on ways USSOCOM is innovating internally to streamline our acquisition process and lower barriers to entry for our industry and academic partners.
Expanding the Competitive Space
The conference theme, “Expanding the Competitive Space” emphasizes the 2018 National Defense Strategy and the newly published Interim National Security Strategic Guidance, which guide the Department of Defense’s strategic approach to reforming the department and building a more lethal force. USSOCOM aims to achieve these goals by prioritizing investments in research, development and future force design initiatives, in collaboration with worldwide partners, that enable our forces to compete and win today and in the future.
