Key West Information:

Key West, a U.S. island city, is part of the Florida Keys archipelago. It's also Florida's southernmost point, lying roughly 90 miles north of Cuba. Famed for its pastel-hued, conch-style houses, it's a cruise-ship stop also accessible from the mainland via the Overseas Highway. It's known more for its coral reefs – destinations for diving and snorkeling – than for its beaches.

Naval Air Station Key West is a naval air station and military airport located on Boca Chica Key, four miles (6 km) east of the central business district of Key West, Florida, United States.

NAS Key West is a state-of-the-art training facility for air-to-air combat fighter aircraft of all military services, with favorable flying conditions year round and unparalleled aerial ranges that offer aircrew training within minutes after takeoff.  On a broader scale, NAS Key West's national security mission supports operational and readiness requirements for the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security (e.g., U.S. Coast Guard), Air National Guard and Army National Guard units, other federal agencies, and allied military forces.

The air station is also host to several tenant commands, including Fighter Squadron Composite 111 (VFC-111), Strike Fighter Squadron 106 (VFA-106) Detachment Key West, the U.S. Army Special Forces Underwater Operations School and Headquarters, Joint Interagency Task Force South (JIATF South).

Muscatatuck Urban Training Center (MUTC) Information:

The Muscatatuck Urban Training Center (MUTC) is a secluded, self-contained community, once home to the Muscatatuck State Developmental Center. The 1,000 acre site was turned over to the Indiana National Guard in July of 2005 and since has been continually evolving into a full-immersion contemporary urban training environment.  Those utilizing MUTC will find several environments ideal for technology experimentation.  For further information regarding MUTC including a capabilities brief, products & services, and past performance, please visit https://www.atterburymuscatatuck.in.ng.mil/.

Directions for all TE traffic from the Main Gate to the TOC / Building 5101:

Once through the Guard gate, take the first right and then an immediate left along Administration Drive. As you pass the sunken village, take a left turn prior to reaching the Embassy compound.  At the traffic circle, go to the right and then turn on the first right.  Follow the path to the left towards the Patriot Academy/Instruction Center (Bldg 5101).  There is ample parking adjacent to the Patriot Academy.  Registration for the event will be located in Bldg 5101.

 Camp Roberts, CA

Camp Roberts is a California National Guard post in central California, located on both sides of the Salinas River in Monterey and San Luis Obispo counties, now run by the California Army National Guard. The mission of Camp Roberts is to facilitate the training, mobilization and security of the National Guard, Army Reserve and Active Component units in support of Federal, State and community missions.

Travel:
The nearest airport is the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport. http://www.sloairport.com/ An alternative is San Jose International Airport. http://www.flysanjose.com/fl/. Drive time from this airport to the Camp Robert s is approximately three hours. The nearest city to the base is Paso Robles. Travel time from Paso Robles to the TE site is approximately a 20-30 minute drive.

All TE participants must enter Gate 10 (corner of Generals Rd and San Marcos Rd). DO NOT enter the main gate located on Highway 101.

Fort AP Hill, VA

Fort A.P. Hill is located within the boundaries of Caroline County, a largely rural county of great natural beauty, dotted with farms, woodlands and waters. Caroline County is located in the northeastern portion of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Situated along the I-95 corridor, it sits roughly midway between Richmond and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Fort A. P. Hill is located close to the town of Bowling Green and is one of the largest and most important US military installments on the East Coast. As it describes itself, it is the place where the United States sharpens its forces in every domain. The base is about 76,000 acres in size and includes some of the most advanced technologies.  It is used year-round for military training of both active and reserve troops of the Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force, as well as other government agencies.

Little Creek, VA  (Joint Expeditionary Base) – Fort Story (JEBLC-FS)

JEBLC-FS is the country's premier installation for housing and training the nation's Expeditionary Forces and is the largest military installation in the City of Virginia Beach. It is one command with two properties. It is comprised of the former Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek (JEB Little Creek) which began as a dynamic training ground for Word War II amphibious Forces, and the former Army Post of Fort Story (JEB Fort Story) which laid witness to the humble beginnings of our country at the 1607 first landing site.  For the TE18-4 event, all experiments will be conducted at the JEB, Little Creek location.  No experiments will be conducted at Ft. Story.

JEBLC-FS is a military installation, so please dress and plan accordingly for your event. If you have properly registered and been approved through our Technical Experimentation website, you will be able to pass through the gate.

College Station is a city in eastern Texas. It is home to the main campus of Texas A&M University. On the campus, the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum documents the life of the 41st U.S. President. It includes a replica Oval Office and a slab of the Berlin Wall. The Sanders Corps of Cadets Center traces the history of the student military group, and exhibits medals and vintage weapons.

In September 2015, the 2,000-acre tract known as the Texas A&M University Riverside Campus was transferred to The Texas A&M University System.  In May of 2016 the Riverside Campus was transformed to the RELLIS Campus, named for the six Aggie Core values of Respect, Excellence, Leadership, Loyalty, Integrity, and Selfless Service.  

The RELLIS Campus is in close proximity to many metropolitan areas allowing short commutes to Houston, Austin and San Antonio.  Home to several Texas A&M System state agencies, and over one million square feet of laboratory and office space, RELLIS offers a unique research and development experience.
