The Joint Special Operations University, a Direct Reporting Unit to USSOCOM, resides at MacDill Air Force Base, FL and is co-located with USSOCOM. With active duty, reserve, and civilian faculty members from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps, JSOU delivers unique SOF educational opportunities through in residence courses and integration of SOF curriculum with service Professional Military Education Schools.

Train conventional and special operations joint force commanders and their staffs in the employment of Special Operations Forces (SOF), focusing on the full integration of SOF and conventional forces in both the planning and execution to enhance warfighting readiness.
