Course Information

Description: This course provides an overview of SOF-specific public affairs issues. The curriculum covers component and command-level best practices. Students will examine SOF media guidelines, outreach programs, and joint planning with emphasis on subordinate unit public affairs operations.

Audience: Primarily for, but not limited to, military officers, warrant officers, noncommissioned officers, and U.S. government civilian/contractor employees that are working as public affairs staff members assigned to SOF units.

Prerequisites: Introduction to Special Operations Forces - Distance Learning (Pilot)

Text and Material: The instructor of record will provide any readings or materials via email prior to the course start date.

Accreditation: JSOU is currently an accredited educational institution accredited through the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET) - a national accrediting agency recognized by the Department of Education.
