Description: The course prepares newly designated SOF leaders for command by providing a common understanding of the USSOCOM Commander’s priorities,command philosophy, and the responsibilities of joint SOF leaders. It also provides a venue
for discussion of the current challenges and issues facing the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations/Low-intensity Conflict (ASD [SO/LIC]), USSOCOM, TSOCs, and USSOCOM components.
Audience: This course is designed for new SOF commanders (O5-O6) and their senior enlisted leaders (E-9) in the following primary/duty occupation codes: Army Special Operations Forces: Officers: Branch 11 (Skill ID 5S), 15 (Skill ID K4), Branch 18 (MOS 18A), Branch 37 (MOS 37A), Branch 38 (MOS 38A). Enlisted: Command Sergeant Major; Naval Special Warfare Forces: Officers: Designators 113X and 310X. Enlisted: Command Master Chiefs; Air Force Special Operations Forces: Officers: AFSC 11SXX, 12SXX, 13DXX, 14NXX, 15WX (Major CMD Code 0V, 3D). Enlisted: Chief Master Sergeant; U. S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command: Officers: MOS: 8007, 8041, 0302. Enlisted: MOS: 9999, 0321, Command Sergeant Major.
